Components Center

Lets the user enable the Components Center functionality and select which catalog content to use.

The Components Center is a cloud-based service for managing, sharing and creating content catalogs.

The Components Center gives the user the opportunity to:

Have immediate access to the latest published content from Bentley.
Maintain custom content on the Components Center making catalog administration easy. Changes pushed to the Components Center are automatically available to all users in the organization.

Setting	Description
Enable Components Center	This option enables the Components Center functionality. Once enabled, and the user selects which catalogs to use, the application will use the cloud based catalog information when placing components.
Include all applications content	If the project administrator has uploaded catalogs from other applications, this option gives the user the option to include that content in Bentley Raceway and Cable Management. Note the application catalogs displayed reflects what was approved for the user's account by the project administrator.
Include content from these applications	This option lets the user toggle On/Off which application catalogs are to appear in Bentley Raceway and Cable Management. Note: This is the recommended setting as it allows the user to pick either an imperial or metric catalog explicitly rather than making both catalogs available at the same time.
Clear Cache	When using the Components Center, it will download the information locally to a temporary directory. This option will clear that information from the following location: C:\Users\%User%\AppData\Local\Temp\Bentley\ComponentsCenter

Once the Component Center options have been defined and the application restarted, the placement of components is no different that using your local catalogs.
